- Weight: capacity must be at least your heaviest parcel. “Letters and flats” also requires 0.1 oz (or finer) display steps in the low range.
- Box footprint: medium boxes need a remote/detachable display or a documented platform at least 10 in on its short side; larger boxes need a remote or detachable display. Undocumented platform sizes don't count.
- Display: “Yes” keeps scales with a documented remote, detachable or movable display.
- Power: the option must appear in the maker's documentation.
